Effective Date: December 1st 2024

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of services provided by Sunstone Wellness and the relationship between you, the client, and our massage therapy clinic. By booking an appointment with us, you agree to abide by the terms outlined in this document.

1. Booking Appointments

  • Appointment Scheduling: Appointments can be scheduled through our linked JaneApp website. We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time.

  • Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email or text message when your appointment is successfully booked.

  • Booking Information: You are responsible for providing accurate information when booking an appointment, including contact details and health history relevant to the massage therapy you will receive.

2. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

  • Cancellation Notice: We kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to accommodate other clients who may need an appointment.

  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment will incur a cancellation fee of [up to 100% of the treatment price], which will be charged to your credit card or added to your account balance.

  • No-Shows: Clients who do not show up for their scheduled appointment without prior notice will be considered a "no-show" and will be charged the full session fee.

  • Late Arrival: If you arrive late for your appointment, your session may be shortened to avoid delays for other clients. The full session fee will still apply.

3. Payment

  • Accepted Payment Methods: We accept payment via credit card, debit card, cash, or other approved methods.

  • Payment Due: Payment is due at the time of service, prior to or immediately following the completion of your treatment.

  • Pricing: The price for each service is clearly outlined on our website or upon request. Prices may be subject to change, and we will notify you in advance of any price increases.

4. Health and Safety

  • Client Health Information: You are required to provide accurate and honest health information prior to your first massage session, including medical history, current conditions, and any medications or treatments you are undergoing. This ensures that the therapist can provide the safest and most effective care.

  • Contraindications: Certain medical conditions may require your doctor’s approval before receiving massage therapy. If you have any concerns about whether massage therapy is appropriate for you, please consult your healthcare provider.

  • Pregnancy and Special Considerations: If you are pregnant, have a recent injury, or have other special considerations, please inform us prior to your appointment so we can adjust the treatment accordingly.

5. Confidentiality and Privacy

  • Client Confidentiality: All personal and health-related information you provide is kept confidential and is used only for the purposes of providing therapeutic services. Your personal data will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

  • Privacy Policy: For more detailed information on how we handle your personal data, please refer to our [Privacy Policy](link to your privacy policy).

6. Treatment Expectations

  • Massage Therapy Services: Our Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are qualified professionals who offer therapeutic massage services designed to relieve tension, promote relaxation, and support your overall well-being. We do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, but we will work with you to address areas of discomfort within the scope of massage therapy.

  • Informed Consent: By booking an appointment, you give your consent for treatment based on the information provided. If at any time you feel uncomfortable during the session or would like to make changes to the treatment, please inform your therapist immediately.

7. Refunds and Disputes

  • Refunds: All sales are final. We do not offer refunds on massage therapy services once the treatment has been provided. In the case of a legitimate issue with your session, please contact us directly, and we will work with you to find a resolution.

  • Disputes: Any disputes related to the services provided by Sunstone Wellness should be addressed directly with the clinic management. We strive to resolve all issues professionally and amicably.

8. Behavior and Conduct

  • Professional Conduct: Our therapists are committed to providing professional, respectful, and effective care. Any inappropriate behavior, including harassment, aggression, or inappropriate requests, will not be tolerated. In such cases, we reserve the right to terminate the session and charge the full session fee.

  • Clothing: Clients are encouraged to undress to their level of comfort. You will be draped with a sheet at all times during the massage. Only the area being worked on will be exposed at any given time to ensure your privacy.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • Personal Responsibility: While massage therapy is generally safe, it is your responsibility to disclose any medical conditions, injuries, or other concerns that may affect the treatment. Sunstone Wellness and its therapists are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from failure to provide accurate information or follow the guidance provided by the therapist.

  • Force Majeure: We are not liable for any failure to provide services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, illness, or government restrictions.

10. Modifications to Terms

Sunstone Wellness reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the updated date will be indicated at the top. It is your responsibility to review these terms regularly.
